Well, it's not so much patience as... well, I don't know. I just sat it on the kitchen counter and would do a little bit every time I walked by. The sanding, I did while I was watching TV, so well, I got a lot of TV watched! :)

Awesome job!
I haven't been around in a few months and this is the first thing I read upon returning. This is so very cool! I have a little die-cast model I keep on my desk at home, but it really only represents "Baby" as its the wrong year. I love that you took the time and effort to make all the little details so perfect. I thought your solution to the roof problem was brilliant. I didn't even notice the difference until you pointed it out. You must have incredible patience to do such detailed work on those tiny parts!

While pulling up photos of Baby to compare to your model I came across this list of the Coolest Cars on TV - and guess who won the popular vote by a mile!!

Thank you! The detailed work is really fun!

I'm not surprised that Baby one the popular vote for the coolest care. She's awesome.

Wow, that's amazing!

I'm glad you explained the whole step by step too. I know nothing about models, and it's fascinating to see just how much time and skill it takes to do something like that.

Thanks!

And yeah, I love seeing the step by step process to things that people create - so, whenever I could, I tried to take pictures. I actually have a ton more of like, little individual steps - but I tried to narrow it down to the essentials for the post, otherwise there'd just be way too many photos.
