I've got a car for show business!

I signed up to be an extra today. It pays next to nothing and isn't dependable, but next to nothing is more money than nothing and my current job isn't dependable either, so it's well matched.

We'll see when I hear from them. Apparently, I have a good car for show business! Haha. Good to know...less pressure than having a face for show business, I guess. They pay extra if they use your car, so it's a very good thing...and apparently the TV show Eureka really likes my kind of car.

I also have nice hands (for hand close-ups). I've always admired my hands, I must say. I was careful to hide my slightly wonky finger though, so who knows if that'll come back to bite me. Here's a tip for the kids: If you discover that your finger can do something cool, don't keep doing it - it actually will get stuck that way.

In other news: I actually bought a Sam Hoodie...like, I bought the female version of The Superhero Hoodie. I couldn't resist. It arrived yesterday. It's a little darker brown than Sam's, and they don't make them with the leather label anymore...but other than that, it's just the same. It's also HUGE. I am not as big as Sam - even in lady-form (nor do I want to be).

So, no pictures yet, because I'm trying to decide if I should return it and get a size smaller. The problem is that it fits well in the hips (and alright in the bust), but the shoulders, arms, and waist are all too big. (story of my life...all my junk is in the trunk). Anyway, I was thinking maybe I could just get it tailored somewhere...and then I realized that I was being horribly vain, because I really just bought it for fun and to use when camping, it's not like I have to look like a friggin' supermodel in it...so, yeah...I'm undecided.

I know! I'm just not sure if I should go for a size smaller or not...It looks pretty good when I grab a hunk of material and pull it tight at the back...but then, do I really NEED to look good while wearing a hoodie that's obviously intended to keep me warm in the great outdoors? :P

And yes! I am hoping that I get called for them to use my car! I could use the extra money.

Hmm, perhaps you are correct.

I may be jumping the gun here, but OMG what if you're signed up to work at th SPN set! *squee*

I always thought hoodies are so mch nicer if they're big. :)

See that's the thing...I can totally see liking the extra comfort/room in the hoodie if I'm wearing it while chilling out by a campfire. It's just for city-living that I'd like it to be a smaller size, but then, I have my fancy winter coat for that...decisions, man. This is the problem when you are buying stuff off the internet - I can't just try on a size smaller and then make a decision, I have to return this one and buy a whole other one...so frustrating.

As for being signed to work on SPN...probably won't happen. But don't be disappointed for me! I knew that going in. For starters, the two people I know who HAVE been called to the SPN set were with a different agency (that MIGHT be coincidence, but it might not be). Secondly, well, they're done filming right now and won't be back until July, so if they do pull from my agency, it won't be for a while. Thirdly...is it weird that I don't want to be spoiled?

I could have signed up with the other agency, but their system was more confusing, and also the agency that I did sign up with came highly recommended to me.

YAY for work. I personally like my hoodies bigger but to each his own. Good luck on the decision making. ;D

Yeah, but there's big and then there's TOO big. I think I might be bordering on too big here. I've decided to return it and try a size smaller. If only to prevent myself from wondering every time I wear it in the future if I should have tried a size smaller. :P

I love Eureka. Love it! Can't wait to see a car I know (possibly driven by a person I know!) on the show... is that weird?

Re: the hoodie, "what would Sam do?" And "gain 50 lbs of muscle" is not an answer that's allowed, in this case - !

Awesome! I know nothing about Eureka besides "it's a show about a town full of geniuses who drive around in SMART cars and Yarises."

Since gaining 50 lbs of muscle was DEFINITELY not an allowed answer, I decided to go with returning it. I figured otherwise I'd always wonder if I should have returned it and tried a smaller size. So, it's off with the UPS people to get returned as we speak. I'll wait and make sure the money is refunded before I go trying a smaller size.

About a tenth of my class has some permutation of Sam's Hoodie, men and women. It's a back-woods Rocky Mountain cattle culture thing.
I'm convinced that Sam's clothes began their life at grange stores. (They carry paisley Western shirts and millions of styles of work boots and jeans that fit 6'4" 180lb teenage boys.)

Oh, and: Eureka! Awesome! And your car gets to be a superstar like Sam Raimi's!
That is so cool.

Perhaps! We shall see if I ever get a call. I should find my touch-up paint and fix the scratch on the side, if I do get called up. ;)

I would not be surprised if you were correct! It makes sense. And Sam really does love his Western shirts.
