The Damned and the Saved

Dean's S11 Light Denim Blue Shirt

This shirt is denim* blue and does up with white snaps. That’s really all we know about it. I can’t really tell if it’s actually denim or just that colour blue, but odds are it’s probably denim. It has breast pockets. (*shirt isn't actually denim, just a similar denim-blue - see first comment.)

Brand: Levi's (blue washed chambray shirt)

APPEARANCES:

In Baby (11x04), Dean wears this shirt when they leave for Oregon and keeps it on until the end of the episode, except when he very briefly wears a suit when leaving the police station.

In Beyond the Mat (11x15), Dean wears this shirt at the beginning of the episode while in the Bunker.

In All in the Family (11x21), Dean wears this shirt the morning after they arrive back in the Bunker with Chuck, and he and Sam have a conversation about what it’s like having God in the house.

In Celebrating the Life of Asa Fox (12x06), Dean wears this shirt to Asa’s wake and until the end of the episode.

In All Along the Watchtower (12x23), Dean wears this shirt for the entire episode.

In Lost and Found (13x01), Dean continues to wear this shirt for the entire episode.
In Rising Son (13x02), Dean continues to wear this shirt until he manages to get some sleep (this happens after he has a fight with Sam, and Donatello, that causes Jack to run off in a huff, and Dean to visit the motel hotel bar.)
In The Thing (13x17), Dean wears this shirt at the beginning of the episode when they’re in the Bunker.
In Let the Good Times Roll (13x23), Dean wears this shirt for almost the entire episode, but once Michael takes over, he changes out of it.

FATE:  In Let the Good Times Roll (13x23), Michael changes out of this shirt, and given Michael doesn’t share Dean’s fashion sense, very likely would have just ditched it completely.

Dean's Dark Wool Coat

Dean's Dark Wool Coat

This appears to be a new jacket. It looks like it might be a fine wool short lightweight jacket. It’s dark, appearing as though it’s deep brown in certain lights, but sometimes black in daylight. It does up with brass buttons and has dark buttons at the cuffs and on the breast pockets as well. It is lined with black fleece. (Note: Might be two coats - see comments.)

Brand: London Fog (Midweight Wool Shirt Jacket)

Dean's Depressed Dark Grey Plaid

This shirt is a purple-grey colour, with darker purple-grey shades making up the unique plaid pattern that includes a distinctive three-stripe pattern that gives this shirt away even if we can only glimpse a portion of the collar under a jacket.

Dean's Red Block Plaid

The way the different shades of red in this plaid are separated by a thin blue line makes it look as though the shirt isn’t so much plaid as patterned with a network of differently shaded red squares. In a rare mix of styles, the shirt is non-western style, but still does up with snaps like their western-cut shirts usually do.

APPEARANCES:

In Safe House (11x16), Dean wears this shirt when he and Sam are researching in the motel after having dug up the graves and confirmed that they are not working with a ghost.

Sam's Borrowed Camo Jacket

Sam's Borrowed Camo Jacket

When Sam ends up bloodied with torn clothes in the Apocalypse World, someone is kind enough to lend him a jacket.

APPEARANCES:

In Exodus (13x22), Sam changes into this coat before he and Dean go and talk to Mary about she confesses that she would like to stay in the alternate world. He takes it off only when everyone is safely in the Bunker at the end of the episode.

FATE: Perhaps he gave it back to whoever owned it!

Dean's Soft Plaid

This Plaid is a little hard to describe. It’s mostly white and charcoal, but surrounding the darkest charcoal stripes is a really nice fade out through red and yellow. It makes for a nice soft look without hard lines. The shirt does up with silver snaps and has two breast pockets (with no flaps, but that also have snaps.)

Brand: WindRiver

In Hell’s Angel (11x18), Dean wears this shirt for the entire episode.

Dean's Red & Charcoal Camping Blanket Shirt

This shirt is quite nice, I think. It’s a bold horizontal stripe, and similar in style to Sam’s Green & Blue Camping Blanket Shirt, so I’m naming it the same. It does up with buttons. It has two flapless breast pockets that also do up with buttons.

APPEARANCES:

In Don’t Call Me Shurley (11x20), Dean wears this shirt at the beginning of the episode, when he is doing the ironing.

Brand: Levi’s

APPEARANCES:

Sam's Faded Red and Black Plaid

This plaid shirt is broad red and black plaid, but the red has that pinkish-quality that comes with fading in the sun. The shirt does up with buttons and is NOT cut in a western style. It has two breast pockets that do up with a little button, but no flaps.

Brand: Koto

APPEARANCES:

Sam's Irregular Blue and Yellow Plaid

This shirt, of course, is different from Sam’s other blue and yellow plaids... because he likes to make my life difficult. It does up with buttons and has two breast pockets with flaps, and is not cut in the western style (as is usually typical of Sam’s shirts). The plaid pattern is a medium plaid that I think has a weird visual illusion of being an irregular pattern at first glance (also, I just needed a new word in the title that would be distinctive).

Brand: Lucky Brand

APPEARANCES:

In Thin Lizzie (11x05), Sam wears this shirt in his first scene in the Bunker, when he tells Dean about the case. He keeps it on for the trip to Fall River and their initial investigation there – until the second murder occurs.

In Into the Mystic (11x11), Sam wears this shirt while they guard Mildred and wait for the banshee to strike.

In The Chitters (11x19), Sam wears this shirt when he meets Dean at the bar and is introduced to Cesar and Jesse. He wears it for the rest of the episode.

In The British Invasion (12x17), Sam wears this shirt at the beginning of the episode when he and Dean come back to the Bunker with takeout and find Mick waiting for them.

In Patience (13x03), Sam wears this shirt at the end of the episode, when Dean comes back from the hunt and they get into a fight about Jack.

In Scoobynatural (13x16), Sam wears this shirt when he’s researching cursed objects in the Bunker, and Sam calls him into another room to show him where he put the TV – he is then sucked into Scoobydoo and this shirt gets cartoon-ified. He wears it for the rest of the episode (except a brief scene when he is in cartoon PJs in the mansion.)

Sam's Gorgeous Red and Blue Plaid

This shirt is a red and blue broad plaid. It does up with white snaps and is most likely cut in the western style (though that’s a guess at this point, based solely on the appearance of snaps and how the two often go hand in hand.) It’s got white to the plaid as well, but the really eye catching colours are the deep red and blue.

Brand: G-Star

APPEARANCES:

In Thin Lizzie (11x05), Sam wears this shirt after he changes out of his suit and he and Dean take Len with them when they attempt to track down the wife of one of the victims, who happens to be their prime suspect. He keeps it on until the end of the episode.

Sam's Clinging Green Plaid

I really like this new plaid shirt. It almost looks like it’s made of gingham. The plaid is a simple olive green and brown, with the emphasis on the horizontal stripes. The breast pockets have two small buttons, but no flaps. The rest of the shirt also does up with buttons. (FYI: It was another fan that came up with the title, however, I do not know who coined the name.)

Brand: Koto

In Our Little World (11x05), Sam wears this shirt once he changes out of his suit, after he and Dean kill the Crowley’s minion that was coming after Goldie. He keeps it on until their encounter with Amara.
